Teachers face challenges every day. The questions on what to do and how to do it to engage students, meet their needs and achieve the goals arrive constantly. In that sense, the need to implement an approach that suits the students’ learning process arises; especially now when remote teaching is taking place.

PBL is an approach designed to give students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through engaging projects set around challenges and problems they may face in the real world. It also brings as a result that students develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. Additionally, the proper use of free online resources can allow students on a one to one lesson, as well as team work, develop simple tasks to accomplish real goals and meet the needs they have while working on a project.

This presentation intends to show an online PBL experience lived by the speaker where students have been able not only to reach language skills, linguistic awareness but also learners’ autonomy.
